White wire breaks of doesn't work now

Sign in to disble this ad
I got an old MIJ P-bass for cheap, it had Seymour Duncan quarter pounds in them. I would prefer vintage SD when it comes to this p-bass. As I was removing the Quarter Punds from the MIJ bass the white live wire got detached from the pick up. I didn't think anything of it, so i just soldered the wire back in the hole. Now I went to put my quarter pund pick up into an old squier p-bass and it no longer works.

Is it possible the pick up doesn't work because of the accidental removal of the white live wire and me re-soldering it back into the hole?

How can I fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.

Inside the hole is a wire that must be connected to the white one. Just sticking the white one in the hole won't do it. Beyond that, someone else will have to chime in.
