EMG makes a P style pup, called a P6.

The tech at EMG says it only works with 3" spacing at bridge. What 6 string, do you know, is 3 inches at the bridge ?

In Depth info for the EMG EMG-P6
EMG EMG-P6
The EMG-P is one of the most popular bass pickups ever made. Both on
stage and in the studio, countless pros use it because they find its
fidelity, definition, and sensitivity superior to high impedance
pickups. It has a true natural presence, powerful lows, and a
punchy mid-range. Designed with single-pole ceramic magnets,
each side of the pickup is fully balanced for even output levels and
consistent attack. In addition to the standard EMG-P Pickup,
the EMG-P5 and EMG-P6 are available for use in five and six string
basses respectively. The P covers standard string spacings up to
2.2"; the P5 up to 2.6"; the P6 up to 3.0". All three models have
exactly the same exterior dimensions and fit in standard P pickup rout

Mike Lull has Basslines make the custom P pickups he puts in his basses including his 5 strings. I had him put one of these in my Ren bass recently.

I have a six string bass that I was thinking about having a p pickup put in. He said we could take two of his custom 5 string pickups and take the sides with three poles and put them together to make a 6 string p pickup.

Good luck

Thanks man. I left a message for him to call me. I would assume they are passive. I hope so, then I can use the Audere

He's very much alive. I spoke to his wife a few weeks ago. This is Easter weekend. They may be taking a few days off.

Usually it takes a while to get an email response. Call during the day Monday or Tuesday. I had no trouble getting in touch when I called about 2 PM Pacific time.

When I spoke to Becky Lawrence she said they could ship out a pair of J45 pickups right away. I imagine they would have the P model in stock too.
