It's VHF. That's cheaper, but it looks like it might be a way to get a wireless cheaply.

It's VHF, which is debatably lower quality than UHF, but it looks like those are running $100-150 elsewhere. I'd say it's a pretty good deal. (Assuming it's something you actually want.)

I've heard wireless units will thin out the bass tone is that true? I just came across this and wanted to see what everyone else thought

I have an AKG wireless unit that's VHF and sold new for more than $200.

I've never had an RF problem with it, and neither I nor anyone in my band can hear any difference at all between using it and going cable-direct. The audio bandwidth is 50 to 20,000 HZ which is all that I need.

For $40? What do you have to lose???????

Apart from the world's most unintuitive checkout/new account creation system, I just picked one up.

Nothing wrong with the price. I have yet to find a good review. The price may be a closeout.

I have one thing to say about this wireless system, its ******* Garbage, I am on my 3rd one and on my way back to the music store to yet again take the **** thing back.... The first one was so staticy and the second one did the same thing now that I am on my 3rd one this one just doesnt want to work at all ! I definalty should have went with my gut and bought the Audio Techinca the first time. If you are thinking of buying one of these pieces or **** please think 2wice take it from a gigging musician look into the technica's they are way better and way stonger, oh and this thing eats Batteries like a starving fat kid in a candy store, it takes about 2, 9 volt batteries to get through one gig. that can get very pricy ! anyway these should be taken off the market A.S.A.P I am willing to back what I have to say about this item too... I will accept any email an be glad to answer any questions you may have about these crappy things ! Samson you should be ashamed of yourselves...

VHF and UHF are equal in usability. And even though Manufacturers such as Shure and AT know the VHF freqs are less used by TV and Radio stations, they must submit to the whims of urban legend that we consumers propagate.

I am unsure of Samsuns quality, as I have never owned one.

$40 is a great a price if it works well.

So, I just got it in the mail and i just tried it out. I didnt like it at all, the quality kind of sucked. I am either returning it or selling it.

Couple of months ago I tried the X2 (that's supposed to be top quality). As soon as I plugged it in, I went searching for my cable. No wireless for me until I hear the low A with the same conviction as with a good cable. To be fair though, I have been using wireless systems more than 15yrs with my guitar (and still listening to my guitar player's tone when he uses wireless). Guitars don't suffer

Make sure any wireless you get specs out down to 40hz..a lot of the cheaper ones only go 150 Hz...pretty much useless for bass.

The X2 wireless' cable that goes from the bass to the transmitter has a designed dampening effect.

I use a Sennheiser wireless currently.
