Who sells Lace Sensor Jazz Bass Pups?

Sign in to disble this ad
Bill Lwarence & Company finally sent a email after 4 phone messages and 2 emails to say thay'd let me know when I could buy pickups (no planned date or price info)
and:
Since I like the sound of the Fender L.S. that came with my bass (although they have ridiciously low output), I thought I'd try another set.
Lace shows that they make them although NONE of their dealers show that they stock them (only guitar and alumalite P pups).
Thought it would be cool to have an offbeat pup (assuming decent tone).
Should I continue to beat this dead horse?

Unbelievable that none of the normal internet suppliers carry either brand; understand why Fralins, Nordy's, Dimarzio and other passive pups are so popular; they have very good distribuiton by a number of sellers.

I found some doing a search on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_MI...e+bass&x=0&y=0

I did a session some years back with Alex Al who was using a '73 Jazz bass with a BadAss bridge and Lace pickups. He recorded straight to the console; no outboard gear. It was one of the cleanest, smoothest jazz bass tones I have ever heard. Of course, Alex is a stellar player so that didn't hurt either.

Thanks, great idea to check Amazon.
Pretty amazing that you can't buy the above mentioned pickups from the normal music vendors.
Looks like the manufacturers are interested in the guitar market and the bass side is just a hobby (or necessary evil).

Have you contacted Lace to ask them for a dealer in your area. Have your dealer order you some.
