Thats really cool! I would have reversed the P though. What color is that bass?

I know it's unlikely, but it would be cool if they did a vintage reissue of the 1959 bass... just maybe in a 30.5" scale.
Kinda like Framus reissued the star bass recently

For a while in the mid-'80s Carvin made the LB40 with a single humbucker in the P position. It wasn't a split coil pickup, though. If you want to see all the old Carvin bass models, go to:

Thanks! It's Seafoam green.

I like and prefer reversed P's in P/Js, but for a traditional P sound. they gotta be 'normal' for me. The goal with this bass was to have a workingman's P bass for Classic Rock and Blues (always w/flats) that plays like a Carvin. The fact that I got to custom order one for far less than the price of most used, stock import boutique basses is just a bonus...
