Why has my Pedulla started making noise?

Sign in to disble this ad
So just recently my Pedulla started making a lot of noise. My assumption is it started the last time I changed my battery (I've since changed it with no change) and didn't notice right away because it's reall not noticable with the treble rolled way off (how I usually play). Anyway I have a recording session tomorrow night and I'm hoping if this is a quick fix I can deal with it by then. It's active Bartolini PJ, and has been completely silent until now.

is it poppy hiss or just a straight hiss. the reason i ask is the poppy kind, in my experience, is indicative of battery issues, whereas the straight hiss might be a grounding issue.

two batteries from the same pack might both be bad - had it happen before. try another pack/brand. -shrug- worth a shot.

Thanks, it's just a hiss, and comes from both pickups. I've changed the battery twice since it started (different brands) so I'm under the assumption now that it's a grounding issue. Any advice on where to start to try and fix this?

thanks,

Will
