Yamaha BB615 noise

I have this bass for an year and a half and it`s an ok instrument but pick ups or preamp are very noisy...Only when the neck pick up is favorized it is quiet.I was looking for help in Yamaha shop and they say it is normal for single coil and the other BB`s had same problem..My Fender Highway jazz didn`t make that much of noise when the one of pup`s was favorized.Enyone has this bass with this problem?What upgrades could i do?Pick ups or preamp to change or both of them?Thank you.

check out the shielding / grounding first!

In service they said that everything is ok....the noise is wery strong when i am close to amp or other power supply.When i move away from then humm is less but it` stil there...
