Yamaha TRB-5P

I am thinking that I can improve the sound of my 1998 Yamaha TRB-5P 5-string active bass with piezo bridge pickup. Has anyone experimented with this? Results? From my research it would seem to me that the best quality onboard preamp is the German made Glockenklang. Comments and suggestions?

I have Agilar OBP3+Bartiloni piezzo buffer on mine - sounds sweet.

Very interesting. Do you have any further details about installation? ANy assistance would be appreciated. What is a Bartolini oiezo buffer?
