AMT S25B Revisited

Anyone who has not visited the AMT website recently should take a look. In addition to more info about the mics, there is now a section with audio clips. There is an interesting interview with the mics designer Marty Paglione and musical clips by Christian McBride, David Ruffo,Steve Rodby tand others that are well worth listening to.

One other thing I found interesting was in the technical specs for the S25B. It shows the phantom power as 12-52v, not 9v like the battery. I'm not quite sure if that implies anything as far as using it without the little black box, but maybe some of the electronic guru's around here can delve into that.

I should have added that Marty Paglione's interview pertains to ALL MICS used on intruments and has a lot of good advice on the right way to set up PA's for a band. It is about 30 minutes long, and I recommend it to anyone using or thinking about using any kind of mic on their bass.

Man I had to say that I laughed when I heard that interview with Marty was over the phone. However after having talked to him so many times over the phone and knowing how busy he is, I wasn't at all surprised.
