Any one use Aguilar?

I have gotten some advice from users, I think i'm gonna go with the aguilar GS112 Nt for my Bass Max. Anyone use these amps? The portability seems great and it's right in my power (and price) range. Just looking for any bad (or good) reviews.
Peace
Greg O

P.S. I overuse parentheses

I've used that cab for double bass and electric bass for years now. it's a great cab. Nice definition for the upright with plenty of low end. Rugged too. It has held really well to constant use and a fair amount of abuse. W/ bass guitar at higher volumes I often pair it w/ an EV Proline 15" in a Flite cab and the two together are fabulous. Many electric players like two Aguilars together. But one pushes alot of good tone for the upright to be sure.

Yes, read my post below. I mostly use the Focus and GS112 for DB especially when I need something louder and more hi-fi than my combo amps. It works great.

I have an a GS 112--it is a great cab with a warm buttery tone but it has a mid scoop--it has a distinct voice and most of the time I prefer to hear my double bass through an Epifani UL 110

I'm not sure exactly what setup he was using, but I know my teacher back home had an Aguilar setup. He sounded great acoustically, but his tone through that amp drove me up the wall. First time I saw him was with the Bob Ayre Big Swing Band, and his playing was awesome -- his amped tone just sucked. It's a damn shame, because he has a great tone in person.

Then again, that could've been the room/settings/other contexts. I seem to recall him sounding a lot better plugged in when I caught a couple tunes from his trio at a club before being kicked out for not being of drinking age.
