Why don't you create your own samples and listen to them since you actually have the device? Not trying to be snarky, but your request baffles me.

It's not a *dumb* request, don't let Phil's New Yorkishness bring ya down. Even though he's right. But I could see how it would be useful for you to compare your recordings with others.

There could very well be some kind of Yahoo or Google group set up around users of the Zoom devices. That could be a motherlode of info for you...

Yeah, I'm interested too, as I am looking to buy something like this. Sweetwater sells one by Edirol (Roland) that has some amazing sound clips in it's (SW) site. Let us know what you think. Mic placement is a big key to a good recording. I have a 16 track yamaha desk top machine that is pretty good. It is about 10 years old.

Use the Search Function - try "Zoom". Actually, I know they're are a couple or more threads here on TB that have some nice sounding samples. Maybe more so on the H2 model (which I have & love for live recordings) than the H4, but they should be darn near identical (effects aside). Both the H2 & H4 are incredible little recording devices, IMO. Of course, YouTube is chock full of tasty recordings too.

I'm a Zoom H4n owner. I got mine about a month and a half ago, I love it. It's got more uses than I can think of or list. I bought it mainly for recording song ideas on acoustic guitar. But I also wanted the multi-track capability.

The thing that blows me away most about this, is in multi-track mode how much is available in the way of amp models and effects. I was using it as a headphone amp last night with my bass, and it sounds really really good. Has SVT, Hartke, Bassman, Sansamp and some other models. With tweakable parameters too.
And on top of that really useful, and again, tweakable, compression, chorus, reverb, octaver, flanger, and everything else imagineable.
