Boost pedal as preamp?

I play a Shen with a Fishman full circle pickup. There's a boost pedal for sale that I'm very interested in for my electric work, but I was wondering if it would be possible for me to use it as a pre-amp before running into an amp.

It it's a boost pedal it has a buffer inside so yeah, technically it's a preamp. That should work.

Depends mostly on the input impedance.
1 Megohms minimum.
