CAD M177 microphone

I picked up a CAD M177 on the suggestion of a friend a I really dig it. It retails for $250 but it was on sale for a day at Musicians FIEND for $69. It is still on sale but it is now $99. Inexpensive, good sound, nice features, pretty quiet. It is a front address large diaphragm condenser.

My question is it sound pretty good for recording DB. I'll try to post a clip when I have a chance. They say in the manual that it can be used for live applications. Does anyone have experience with this? I'd expect feedback city.

Here's a link.
