Carvin D44 (or D42)?

Another mic question!

What's the word about Carvin mics, if any? I checked out their drum mics, the D44 and D42, which seem similar in function to the Shure Beta 52 & 56. The freq. response of the D44 is 20Hz to 10kHz, but they don't provide a freq curve graph, unfortunately. The price looks great too: $59 direct. I know Carvin makes alot of good equipment, and their SM 58 knock-off is good. Anybody have an opinion on these?

Thanks!
