Question cheap and good!

hey!

first of all, since i'm fresh in this forum i just want to say hi everyone

my question is about double bass pickups, because each time i play live, if the mic doesn't go trough the PA i might just forget the concert, so i want to buy a decent pickup for my double bass.
the problem is that i don't have a clue on this business, so if anyone could eventually hepl me i would be grateful.
i'm looking for a cheap (110$) but good sounding pickup that works not only for pizzikato but also for bowing.

tks!*

Welcome to the club.

K&K is well liked by many here.

Underwood.

Gage Realist

Fishman has a new pickup and the early word is that it's good.

A few folks have been speaking well of the Clevinger Natural Cleavage pickup or some such model.

There are hundreds, but these are what leap to mind first.
