Combo or Cabinet x Mic set-up

Hello,
I'm actually changing setup. I was using a piezo + K&K preAmp + GallienK Mb 150 Combo.
I'm now using only a Mic. (I have a little portable mixer that eventually provide the phantomP...)
I'd like to change My GallienK in something more Powerful but still portable. My budget is under 500$

Can you give me some advices?

look for threads that discuss the use of powered PA speakers for DB.

Hey Darksail,
I love your city. Check out the pub 280 by schertler. a mixer and mic into the pub should sound much better then the GK with a mic. You should be able to get one used for about $500. If you need something larger, try the SRM 450 by Mackie.

Actually I'm thinking to "MACKIE SRM 350"...

What about www.sr-tech.net? Is built in Italy, and also rather cheap in your country.

I've found a shop near here that has the complete series of the Sr tech...
