Combo "Doubler" Amp for University

How about some recommendations for a good quality, currently available combo amp for DB and BG that can stand up to music school life in a busy jazz program. Lets limit it to something on the smaller, more portable side. Thanks in advance!

I've had very good luck with the Markbass cmd 121p combo.
Works well for upright and electric bass. Lots of headroom
with 300 watts into 8ohms, and a single 12 in a box almost as
small as a GK 150. Weight is 28 or 29lbs.

I would say the GK lightweight 12" combo, not sure of the name but i've heard it on both DB and bass guitar and it sounds great! small too.

Add the extension and you can play anywhere.

The GK MBS and MBE micro bass amps are affordable, lightweight, rugged (cause they have a metal enclosure) and have a very DB friendly pre amp that hads a 1 meg ohm load for piezo pickups and sounds great with electric bass as well. I like the MBS pre amp better if you are only using it with a Double Bass, but the MBE works better if you are using it with both Double Bass and Electric Bass. By adding the MBX extension speaker you get a little more omph, but lets remember here that it's only a 100 watt head, using the extension drops the load to 4 ohms and that gets you an additional 50 watts.
It's kind of the ideal choice for a school cause you can lock them up and sign them out to the player. The only drawback is that it's a single channel amplifier, so if the ensemble has you doubling you need something to go in front of the GK pre amp that gives you two channels and some eq.
