Daisy Chain Amps

Been playing in swing orchestra using RS II, Fishman Pro Platinum EQ and Roland Cube 100 combo amp. For most of our gigs the Roland has just enough volume to cut through trumpet and sax sections that equate loudness with quality, and therefore constantly overblow.

Last week we played in a much bigger ballroom and I was concerned about having sufficient volume, so I added my practice amp, which is a Peavey Minx 110 (35 watts) by using the xlr out of the Roland into the Minx--not only got louder sound at lower volume level on the Roland, but the combined 12 and 10 inch speakers gave me a clearer, more focused sound. Think I'll get a 10" extension cab for the Roland and see if I get similar improvements.
