DI question

What DI do you guys use? The one in your amp or do you have a seperate one (maybe combined with a seperate pre-amp)?
How does the DI from the EA Doubler compare to the AI Focus/Clarus+ ?

Thanks,

KN

I use an L.R. Baggs Paracoustic DI. I have for years. I run the PU to the Baggs, and run XLR to the house. If I am using an amp, I use the 1/4 send off the Baggs to the amp.

It sounds very good, has nice features and even runs on phantom, so there is no need to worry over the batteries.

Hi.

SVTDI.

All the DI's on my amps are too noisy (SWR, Fame).
Don't know about the EA project amp I'm repairing at the moment though.

Regards
Sam

I like the Fishman Platinum Pro Pre/DI. Phantom power, EQ, phase switching, Great with the Compresser on. I had mine for years with no problems. And for passive I use a Radial DI.

The DI in the AI stuff is pretty good IMHO. I've also used a Klark-Teknik Di-100 active DI, which has very basic facilities but excellent sound. Had a Fishman Pro Platinum for a while and liked the facilities but not the sound.

I'm really interested in getting some tubes into my signal chain; maybe an Avalon U5, Summit Audio 2ba-221, or Demeter.
