Question EA iAMP 350 Combo

Can anyone rate this amp from experience? I have found a good price on a used one nearby and it looks really great for DB. It has 350 watts with one 10" speaker.

hi,
I had an Iamp 350 head that I used with an EA 1-10 cab. Worked out very well with my DB. The amp was great and the speaker was great. However, I had some problems with the head. It just crapped out 6 months after I got it (brand new). It also crapped out about 3 years after I bought it. EA has great customer support, they did not charge me a dime to fix it. Then it broke again. I LOVED that head so I decided to get the 800 watt head. I figured since the 800was newer, it was better designed. So far so good!!!

Do you know how old the rig is? I have heard (from EA among others) that therenewer stuff is designed better. In my opinion, there amps are eqaully great for EB an DB. I highly recomend them. Just my 2 cents.

I attached a picture. (my cat likes to be photographed)

Thanks for the heads up, Joel. I am going to call the place tommorow and ask how old it is and if it's had any problems in the past. They're asking $799 for the iAMP 350 Combo in good condition. Although, I haven't played my bass through either yet, I am leaning towards EA a lot more than AI because they're good for electric as well as DB & they also look much cooler.

$799 is too high for that amp. They normally sell for about $700 or less. There is also a iAmp 350 head on www.bassgear.com for $350. Used CXL110 cabs go for about $300.

Also, I think that the combos all came with 12" speakers, didn't they?

I had one for a while. Nice sounding, small, but weighed a TON (maybe 60 pounds). Too heavy for the sound it put out IMO. There are MUCH better options out there now.

I agree. It is very heavy. I am getting rid of the speaker to get something lighter. I also did not like the EA speakers for EB. Awesome DB rig, if you don't mind schleping it around.
