Question Easily removable pickup suggestions?

Hi guys,

I'm currently 'between basses' and am using my college's double bass for big band and small group stuff. Can anyone recommend a decent pickup that can be relatively easily removed?

I am currently using a Fishman BP 100 and finding it less than satisfying, especially at cutting through in big bands. That and it sounds like a chainsaw when bowed !

I have a Galline Krueger mb150, and have recently got a fishman pro-eq platinum, which has significantly helped, but it sounds like the pickup is definately the weak point in the chain. Anyone got any recommendations?

cheers, Ant

There. I just quoted myself.

You can add Underwood to the list too I think, although I don't have one.

If you want more info, here's one thread you can check out:

Best removable pickup?

And there's more pickup threads if you scroll down to the bottom of this page:
