experimental 2x8

Recently, I completed building a 2x8 cabinet in the chamber of horrors.
It's for URB duo or trio gigs where a little sound reinforcement is needed. I wanted something small and fairly lightweight.
Eminence makes a nice 8" speaker - the Beta 8cx. This is a coaxial speaker, so the tweeter attaches to the back, saving space. They also make a crossover for it that has speakon, 1/4" jacks and a tweeter level control all in one unit. All the parts cost $260.
The finished box is 19-3/4 x 9-1/2 x 14-1/4 and weighs 30 lbs.
I made a vented box of 3/4" cabinet plywood and painted it green. (WHY?) It was quite easy to build.
It's been used on one gig so far and seems to do what I want.
Response is pretty even and natural. The tweeter sounds good - not too harsh. It's wired 4 ohm and each 8" is rated to 250 watts, though I wouldn't want to push them that hard.
I can provide more details on construction, if anyone's interested.

I'll take some, but my camera is "analogue" so it will take a while.
It looks like a suitcase with Mr. Bill's face. The speakers are his eyes and the port the mouth. I put the crossover plate on one of the sides so the speaker could lay on it's back if I want.

OK, finally there's a digital camera in the house.
This speaker is used weekely on a quartet gig with a loud drummer and holds up well. I really like it on trio or duo gigs.
It goes pretty deep without getting muddy, which is what I was after.

I like it! It looks like it could be your little buddy.

And if it sounds great . . .

You need to add a smile below the 2 eyes (speakers) and the nose (port) so it looks like this:
