Fishman preamp vs. K&K preamp

How do these two compare? Does the Fishman Model B work best with the BP-100 and the K&K with other K&K products? In your opinion, what's the best portable preamp for double bass in the US 70-120$ range?

I have a K&K BassMax pickup used in conjunction with the Small GK combo or the Contra AI. I've found the Fishman and the K&K preamps to be completely unnecessary with these amps.
YMMV: why don't you try one before placing a mail order ?

The Fishman's input impedance is 10 megohms, which is ideal, while the K&K is 0.92 megohms (920 K) last time I heard.
In my opinion, the K&K's input impedance is a little low.
Some pickups require more than that (like the Fishman).
The Underwood is also more comfortable with an higher input impedance.
I'd go with the Fishman.
On the other hand, there are other choices, like the LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI.

Also has 10 megohms input impedance plus on-board EQ and notch filter.
