Found an ollddd Ampeg stereo pickup with box

Hello everyone. I seem to have stumbled across one of these bad boys and don't really know anything about it. One of my bass player buddies told me that you guys would be the one's to ask about it. I'm looking to find out the value of it + any other sweet general info about it that wikipedia hasn't already told me. Thanks

According to the "Ampeg. The story behind the sound"book(I just got it yesterday).The stereo bass picup came out in 1959.

A local guitar vendor/collector guy my way was asking $250 for one without the box.Your's seems like it's in nicer shape.Don't know if that's an accurate indication of what it's worth that's just what this guy was asking.

When I was a kid a lot of the upright players used these.We had a local Ampeg dealer my way so their stuff was popular.
