Anyone have a way of attaching a Full Circle to the tailpiece, besides using a pull tie? I can't stand the "clip on the strings" method, and the pull tie thing slips around, so I'm at a loss.

These little plastic things are available at hardware stores in various sizes and work well.
BTW, I'm not plugging UPTON, but just too lazy to take a picture of my tailpiece . |

I think you can still buy a package of twenty or so for under $2.00. The original credit for this idea should go to David Gage for his Realist pickup tailpiece mount.

I have a Realist on my plywood, and I only started this thread after coming home from Home Depot without being able to find a similar bracket. Then Bob posted the above reply, and I figured I must have missed those things somewhere. So back down I went, and finally found them in the electrical section. A little while later, pickup successfully mounted. So thanks Bob (and Phil too). |

I then mounted it underneath the TP using some cable clips from RADIOSMACK that had double sided tape. Worked great but the tape eventually wore out. Now I just use an RCA->1 1/4" adapter that came with my Revolution Solo (which I no longer use) that uses a pipe clamp. |

I use Velvet strings (which don't have ball ends) so found this a bit more straight forward for loading it than taking off the string and re-threading it etc. I feed the bow quiver tie-string through the string holes at the top of the tailpiece anyway so it worked out kinda handy.
Anyways, I'm sure this probably doesn't really help the original poster but it might be food for thought? |

You guys are taking a lot of trouble to find an alternative attachment so it would appear that the clamped-to-strings method is not a great idea. Anyone explain why? Afterlength muting perhaps? |

Same thing when its on it's side and someone brushes against the cord... plunk! Its off!
Plus, i have gut strings and I feel like the metal clip was wearing the plain gut. |

I found one box labeled as "Plastic Pipe and Tubing Clamps" and another labeled "Cable Clamps" in the same store bin. Same thing - different name.

Try a right angle connector. I use the larger GeorgeL's cables; their right angle plug is pretty low profile. |

I also had a bizarre problem once with one of those A-D string output jack clamps where if positioned just so it acted like a wolf tone generator, as opposed to a wolf tone eliminator.
