Gallien-Krueger MB2-500

Well...... true to form the new GK MB2 500 has been pushed back to
July 7 from June 22. Hopefully, they will get this amp to market before the snows set in.

Just got an e-mail from Jason Finley at GK... Release of the MB2-500 "has been pushed back to 8/30." He also says Guitar Center will be stocking these amps when they become available.

I kind of suspected that GK was hedging their bets on the MB2. They just released the 550 after all. Frankly, I'd rather they take their time. I still hope to see it before the snows come.

Actually we don't get all that much snow in St. Louis anymore. We get the occasional buster storm. I was alluding to the fact that we might not see the MB2 50O for awhile. The "new" revised date for the release is late August. See Bob's post above.

Apparently, 8-31 is still looking like the date.

My order w/ 123 is extended, so maybe we'll actually see these in sept?

Bob,
Thanks for the update. As soon as Guitar Center gets one I give it
a road test. It would be great if this amp had a similar voicing to the
older 200MB's or even the MBS. With the additional power it could
be the affordable alternative to the other amps available for Double Bass, with perhaps, a warmer sound.

We've confirmed that we have a MB2-500 and a Fusion on the way to Bass Gear Labs for testing. We will have the first tests anywhere I believe. Yes...I did get a tracking number and it's really on the way!

I think they are probably shipping from GK direct since its a unit for testing. My guess would be that other units are on the way to the dealers now, and orders will start to be fulfilled in the next few days. I keep looking on Music123 site daily, but nothing showing yet...
