Unhappy ? Help w/a Roland Cube 100?

Hey all-

I have a Roland Cube 100 - it's pretty cool, etc. except that the other night while I was on a gig, the input jack just decided to fall into the casing - I guess it had been getting pretty loose and I just didn't notice until I unplugged and bam, there you go.

So I need to either take it into get it repaired, or try and save 50 bucks and do it myself. I just thought I'd ask if any of you had ever disassembled (is that a word?) this model, and how I should approach it. So far all the screws on the top/back don't seem to help - the head won't detach due to some wires holding it in, and I don't want to F--- that up -

Thanks so much for your help if you got any,

Andrew
(I posted this on the BG side as I thought it was more apt, but maybe one of you have one - It's not a great sound for my upright, but hey -)

I owned an Orange Roland Cube 50 and I can tell you that the components are packed inside that amplifier. Not something I'd attempt personally. My guess is that Roland uses those flimsy plastic jacks. They break of easily.

It's most likely that the speaker connections are preventing you from getting the head out of the box. You're correct you don't want to break those connections, but you could fish around a little to see if there is a connector on the board that will unplug the connections. The pre amp may also be connected to the power amp with some kind of wire harness. Hard to tell. Not sure that I'd mess with it.

Thanks so much for your help if you got any,

Andrew
