humble head?

Hi there,
For my humble possessions I've choosed this amp heads:

Gallien Krueger 400rb
Hartke 3500A
SWR workingpro 400
Markbass LT250
Ashdown MAG600H

They all cost barely the same, but what to choose? I know there's better but for this prices, do you know something else?
I think I'll use then some GKbackline 115 and 210 cabs.
I need something strong enough to play with a loud band...
Some suggestions needed, thanks

I am extremely happy with my GK Backline 600 head, which has the same power as the 400RB. You can click on my sig to read my review. Saving money on the head will allow you to spend a bit more on the speaker.

Do you also play electric? The amount of power you are talking out, might be a lot more than you can actually use on upright, because of feedback.

Love my markbass LM2, and loved my 800rb, but the thing on that list I didn't like was the backline cabinets. I'd suggest something else, I've liked every Avatar cab I've tried better than any backline cab.

400rb

the GK 400rb is nice head for acoustic and electric basses. If i were going to buy a GK, i'd buy the 800RB though, because of the extra power. All in all, they are decent amplifiers. The one down side is that they are made very cheaply. I ended up replacing a couple of the pots on my GK400rb, but that was only after 10 years of use and abuse.

That's a more eliquent way of saying what I was trying to get across.

I think any amp head on your list would be fine, but get a better cab than a backline.

JonnyA -- i agree. The backline cabs are functional, but not worth while.

Also, i never really cared for SWR or Hartke for upright bass FWIW.
