Question Inexpensive preamp for mic?

Hey, guys! I'm looking for an inexpensive preamp for miking my DB. About 50 bucks?
Any suggestions?

Try an e-bay search for "mic preamp". Then sort by the lowest price.

Plenty under $100 including ART, Rane, Behringer,Presonus.

Low frequencies?

Will those work quite well for miking a bass?

I don't know about DB, but the ART tube mic preamp sounds pretty good with electric bass. Might be worth a try. You can get a new one for $79.

I and a coupla other bassists I know use the ART Studio Tube MP preamp with a mic; the operative word being STUDIO!! The cheaper model (about $25 difference) works fine for electric instruments but can be noisy with mics. I use the Studio version with my AKG C3000 to provide phantom power when none is available and with my Schertler Dyn-B to provide clarity by reducing the input level on cheaper PA systems. It was a good deal that I got for ~$100.
