I know this has been covered in past threads from months ago, but I figured I'd ask for more current, up to date opinions from anyone who owns this amp. Anyone have anything they can share, experiences, etc?
Thanks
-Danny

I got the final factory prototype to kick around for a few days and it was dead quiet, and otherwise sounded the same as the original. I'm looking forward to getting a bunch. |

I actually called you about 2 weeks back about those (and the wizzy cabinet). What original problems were there that got fixed (and are there any now)? |

Those were recalled. Minor issues, such as the mute not being totally effective, were also resolved. I just plugged in one of the units UPS brought us today and it's great, as was the final factory prototype I had a few weeks ago.
The only temporarily remaining issue is a higher than spec voltage problem that doesn't affect most US players-- the unit is designed to auto-correct for typical world voltages, but a sad surprise was that some countries who claim 220-240v can dramatically exceed that level. So they've got a fix already, but it wasn't implemented in the current units. If you're a US player that's not a world traveler, it's not an issue. And if you aren't, a minor change to a future Micro edition will resolve that. |

fitted w. a Full Circle...very musical and nice tone controls and I tested it w. the Wizzy 10 and 12 and it sounded great. Hope to field test it soon...More Later. |

I ran it with a Wizzy 110 and later I ran it with an Ashdown ABM 414T and the overall tone was extremely consistent through out both cabs. The channel out puts are very well balanced and the volume level can get surprisingly loud and still maintain clarity.
I didn't use a DB but I did use a Lakland 4-94 and a MM SR5(and it was handling the low B pretty impressively).
A top quality amp that really has it's own voice while still maintaining it's EA roots. The sound you put into it, is definitely the sound you will get out of it.
And yes I am an EA endorser(I wouldn't be acknowledging this but it's a TB rule to do so) but if I wasn't an endorser I would still feel the same way about this killer product.

My last Micro 300, which I received around October I think as a direct replacement from EA, was 100% right on the money in every way. |

I'm also curious as to how the channel switching is working out for anybody. I'd be looking to switch to the mic channel for arco, then back to both at the same time for piz. |

Well, BDOWD, you certainly put to rest my idea that the "both channels on" feature should not be selectable via footswitch.

I like the idea of the 2 inputs at the same time, just don't like that I'd have to toggle through 1, 2, both, ... to get back to both on. Still looks like a great little amp, and thanks for the review in the other post. |

| | Registered User Builder for Audiokinesis and Fearful speakers Endorser for EA, Roscoe | | | | | Pickup and mic I'm an endorser and I'm tring to get them to make the second channel a 1/4" tip ring sleeve switchable for either high or low impedance to use with a mic. ( with phantom)They said that an xlr jack would take up too much space, but I suggested a tip ring sleeve with an adapter. |

Are you the bassist for Patricia Barber? If so, your playing and your sound are OFF THE HOOK!!!! I don't play upright, but I listen to a lot of upright players. What attracted you to EA's products?
