Multi efects on acoustic bass

I would like to experiment with some ather sounds which I would like to use with my acoustic sound. Do enebody have some experiences? Now I am using 80% mic. AMT and 20% Realist. But I comletelly prefere acoustic ( microphone) signal...Thx!!!

Can you elaborate a bit on what you'd like to do? You say that you completely prefer the acoustic (microphone) signal, but you also want to experiment with effects. Does that mean that you want to keep the mic clean and run effects on the Realist?

Can you describe the rest of your rig? What do you plug the realist and the mic into?

You ask for our experiences. Lots of people here are 100% very-very anti-effects. I am not one of those people. My experience says that effects like chorus, delay, reverb, tremolo, etc will work best with your pickup. If you want to use distortion-type effects, you'll get a lot of feedback. A magnetic pickup will work better with effects, especially distortion, but will not sound as "acoustic" as the Realist does. Maybe by blending with the mic that wouldn't matter to you.

i use an FX pedal all the time. even for a clean tone i use a Boss GT-10B. it has great tone shaping features which totally transforms an underwood sound. i also add some compression and reverb

Yes exactly.. I was thinking about Dan Berglund way of using effects...It is still acoustic sound, but mixed with something. I dont want sounds like distortion or some hevy sound . I still dont have some blender to mix 2 signals together, but I wana buy D-TAR Soltice.
