Congrats!

Will finally get to do my first show with this cab tonight. The New Year's gig didn't work out and then both my shows last weekend weren't the right situation for it. The first was with a LOUD country band so I took a larger cab and then Saturday night was in a small bar so my Wizzy 10 went.

But tonight it's on.

Ended up doing two shows with it this weekend.

The first was a fair sized pub so I used my Full Circle equipped Shen SB-100. I'm still a little surprised at how carrying a 50lb cabinet feels compared to the 32lb single 12 I used to gig with. But once it's on stage, it's actually got a smaller foot print. That room seemed to really pronounce the low-mids so I messed with the EQ on the Clarus a bit and dialed up the L-Pads on the mids and highs on the cab. Not sure it was very scientific but I was able to get a nice clear and punchy sound.

The second gig was at a smaller pub on concrete floors so I was using my Eminence EUB. That room seemed to suck the low end out of my sounds so I had the HPF down to probably around 50Hz and turned down the mids and highs on the cab and was able to compensate pretty well.

In both situations the rig had plenty of headroom and really just sounded fantastic. I do a lot of different kinds of rooms so being able to tweek the sound quickly and easily is really nice.

I will however be buying a little dolly
