Preamp Output Impedance Question

I just purchased a Fishman Pro-Plat Bass preamp to couple with a full circle PUP. The output impedance of the preamp is listed as 1k ohm. I plan on running the output of the fishman into the effects return on both of the heads below to find which I like best.

Hartke 3500 return listed as 600 ohm.

Ashdown Mag 300 return listed as 22k ohm.

I'm new to the use of preamps. Is there anything I should be concerned about with hooking up? The impedance rating just seem a little out of wack for two heads that are basically in the same class.

The output impedances you mention are both low enough that they won't be an issue. Output impedance is never an issue in my experience - it's the input impedance that's critical when you are plugging in a piezo pickup. Unless the input impedance is very high (more than 1 Meg Ohm) you can lose a lot of lows.
However once you've got past the first preamp stage, you've got electronics talking to electronics and they usually get on OK.

Quite right. The input impedance of the Fishman is a very "piezo-friendly" 10 Mohm. Once you are at "line level" and buffered by the pre-amp stage, output impedance is rarely of concern.
