Random popping sound from Micro300?

I have an EA Micro300 that has been making odd popping sounds. Doesn't seem to be anything related to the speaker cable, instrument cable, pickup, etc. I can tap the amp casing while it's on and muted and it makes the popping sound, but it also does it without any kind of vibratory stimulus, etc. It has happened to varrying degrees on different gigs, so I don't think the venue's circuits are the issue....any thoughts?

At this point I live pretty close to the EA factory, so I've been meaning to just bring it over there when I get a chance, but I thought I'd check here for any potential solutions before bothering the kind folks at EA..

Nope, it has to be a forceful tap for it to pop..maybe jostle is a more appropriate term.. Could be the dry solder joint....

Take it to EA. Some things that could go wrong (with any amp) and produce the symptom that you observe, could also damage a speaker.

Just a wild stab-in-the-dark guess but when the noise occurs is there a cell phone or Blackberry near the amp?
