Rattling underwood pickup...

I have an underwood on my old kay. the pickups fit fine in the bridge but the input jack makes a wretched rattling noise. its irritating when playing unamplified but totally unacceptable when playing amped because it gets picked up. if i pull the cable tight (and thus the pickup) it goes away. any suggestions?

thanks

Pull the tubing off and tighten the metal jack housing.

It's not the wire touching something, is it?

I put a loop in my wire to keep it suspended and away from everything. A little rubber band can be used, too, like with the Realist.
