Realist is a really good pickup. I think.

but I will try a fishman full circle. (IT's in progress on a new Aubert deluxe bridge by a luthier.)

I would thread a fishman pickup sample .too

I think the Realist is the best pickup if you play with the bow or if you don't need a lot of volume. I'd still like to try the FC one of these days though (when I have the time and the money...)

Nice tone from that Realist. I have both a Realist and Full Circle on my old German carved bass. I like my Full Circle blended with a Shure Beta57 mic (thanks to Chris F. for that suggestion), but I've never been happy with the pickup-only tone from any pickup I've ever used.

My Realist tone doesn't sound as good as yours, and it might be the strings I'm using (I use either Corelli or Obligato). What strings did you use on that recording?

I have been using
Thomastik infeld E A with pirastro Jazzer D G Strings

Thomastik that i uses is for Solo tuning (F#, B)
But i tune it as E A

Sounded amazing!. (It was 1 billion times better than i sounded at my last Jazz audition with this song, god I love Autumn Leaves. )
