Realist plug rattle

It's tied to a G-string under the tailpiece as described in the manual. But it rattles and buzzes. Then I turn it a bit to left or right and it quiets down. After 3-5 songs it rattles again.

It's not so bad, but noticable when I'm playing unplugged.

How do you guys remedy that?

Danko

In addition to this, I didn't like how the jack twisted so easily, so I found another cable loop like what's included and used it on the barrel with the D string as well. Snug. No rattle, and this kept it from twisting around.

You could also try some strategically placed adhevise backed black felt on the backside of the tailpiece.

Try putting a piece of foam between the jack and the tailpiece and the barrel of the plug, then attach it through two of the string holes with nylon ties (find them at an electronics store) or (budget version) twist ties or old black shoelaces. Just make sure everything's tight, and you'll be in business.

Make sure the ball end of the string is slid all the way up snug into the tailpiece slot. If there is a gap there that could cause a rattle or buzz.

Thanks all for the solutions (I can see there are many). I'll try tightening that tomorrow. Today I have a gig, and am reluctant to screw around with the pickup, strings or tailpiece before the gig. (call me supersticious) I know nothing will happen, but the bass may fall (I'm clumsy) if nothing else.
