Rev Solo I into what?

although I try to play acoustic as possible as I can (Garbo strings, high action, if there is a PA I place an Audix D4 in front of the bass), sometimes I need higher volume (when playing in large venues w/out PA or with maybe partially deaf electric guitarists or drummers). In these cases i use a Rev Solo I into a 15 years old GK MB 200. but, even though the red light on GK is flashing the volume is not enough and the sound is not good: too much bass and difficult tho reproduce the higher register. I think that the GK MB 200 as a personal monitor at low volume is good, but not enough for the entire band or venue.
Can you suggest me another good transportable amplifier (combo or head+speaker)? or I have to change PU?
thanks, tito.

Tito -- I haven't used the amp you're using, so I can't speak to that issue. But I can tell you I couldn't get usable volume out of the Rev Solo I pickup. I used it into a GK MB 150S combo amp, with and without an extension speaker, and did a fair amount of adjustment to try to get the Rev Solo element in just the right spot, but never could get a really strong sound out of it.

My Underwood pickup produces much more volume. You might try changing pickups before changing amps, it's a lot cheaper.
