Great idea about marking it with a pencil drurb. My RS II sounded like "my bass only louder" until I broke another Dominant (tha's it for me - strictly Obligatos now) and removed it while replacing an entire string set. I must have hit the sweet spot right off the bat during the original installation; the bass sounded quite different the second time -- even accounting for different strings -- until I experimented and found the right spot again. Now it's marked! One last comment: I had to sand off quite a bit more pickup than I expected. My bass is a laminated Hawkes and I made the (incorrect) assumption that the Upton bridges would receive the RS II with minimal sanding.
