hey, sorry im not actually answering your question.. but ive been looking into getting a pickup and was looking into underwood pickups. Is there a reason why you're looking for a new pickup? I currently don't have a pickup and would like to spend my money in the right place.

pickup

Hi - I like my Underwood - it is simple, easy to install, easy to take off, does the job.

BUT - i got bitten by the idea that maybe there is a BETTER one out there! the gear search !!!!

BUMP

I liked the old Schatten pickup, but the putty to stick one piece to the bridge, and the screw and spike assembly on the other was just too much, and the little cables weren't made to last, so eventually it failed. Sounded good though. I too would like to try the new one.

Anyone tried it?

Are you talking of the RB-1 ?
Pretty much the same as a BassMax...
Maybe a tad clearer sounding, but not much different.

Craig,
Take a little time and read this thread. I really like this new pickup from Goran Ehrlund. It has great sensitivity and sounds more like a mic on your bass. I owned an Underwood and this is a whole step foward.
