Shatten Bass-10 Pick-up Useres?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Schatten Bass-10 pickup and/or the optional onboard preamp.

I have a Schatten HFN pick-up mounted between the x-braces (under the bridge plate) on my acoustic archtop guitar. I also have the endpin preamp/jack. This works very well for the guitar. It would be nice to hear any reviews you may have for the bass setup.

Looks/sounds interesting. Make sure you check out the sound clip.

I'm not so crazy about the wing pickup. Does it plug in there like an Underwood? Or does it just get taped on like a PUTW?

I believe that that wing pickup is supposed to stick to the face of the bridge while spanning over the gap between the leg and the wing. There is a putty that comes with it that makes it easy to move the pickup around until you find the sweet spot. Then if you want, you can use the sticky tape to fasten it more firmly. I'm not sure about the sound clip. A different bass or different strings would probably sound different. Thats why I was hoping that a few guys had already tried it and could comment.

Kinda looks like a Polytone combined with half a BP 100. The clip (Sony MDR 7506 headphones) reminded me of the "bass" sound on the Seinfeld theme music.

Yeah the clip sounds almost like fake keyboard electric slap bass guitar. You can hear the string / hand noise though so it's real, just weird sounding. If that pickup really sounds like that then no thanks!
