Still searching preamp/buffer

I have not yet selected the preamp/buffer for my Upright/Underwood/ GK 200MB. I have a K and K pickup on my acoustic guitar, and it uses a K and K Sound "Pure XLR Preamp", which I have ordered. I wonder if this would work for my upright as well as it reportedly does on a Martin D-28.
