You could make one from a piece of thin sheet metal; bend the sides, then drill a hole in the middle for a jack. What kind of pick up are you making?

jack

Fishman sells replacement jacks, the link below is for the full circle but it should work for you.

Thanks! That is exactly what I am looking for. Actually, it might be even better as the RCA connector will let me swap out pickups...

You're welcome Adrian. Fishman is expensive for what you are getting but it might save you time and trouble and give you more time to work on your pickups.

The jack for the Fishman Full Circle actually has a passive filter network inside of it and is intended specifically for the FC. Using it with another pickup probably would have unpredictable results. Although it's not listed on fishmanparts.com, perhaps you could get the jack assembly for the BP-100 from Fishman. It's just a simple jack, and doesn't contain a filter network.

Can you expand on this filter and what it does?

I havent used the jack with anything else, but I have used the FC pickup through other RCA connections and never noticed any difference?

That is interesting. I wasn't aware of that. I have yet to order a jack from Fishman... Doesn't look like a BP100 jack is available.

I wasn't aware that I could buy a separate jack from K&K. Soldering is no problem.

That is a bit too bulky for me. I'll look into the K&K. Emailing Bob G...

I recommend Switchcraft jacks; they're the best!
The ones coming with K&K pickups are somewhat cheap, IMHO, with all due respect to K&K.
It was a similar jack coming with my Shadow SH951 and I recently reaplced it with a Switchcraft.

I made this one with a locking Neutrik cable mount jack, two rubber grommets from the hardware store and a velcro cable tie. The rubber grommets isolate the housing from the tailpiece and the velcro loops through the string mounting holes in the tailpiece. Snug & reliable.
