SWR Working Pro 12

I recently purchanced a SWR Working Pro 12, 200 watts,
about 45 lbs, at $550.00. I was looking for a decent quality amp that could cover small to mid size rooms for jazz gigs at a mid price point.
I like the amp, good sound, plenty of sizzle and enough power to cover my needs but I'm far from an amplifier or electronics expert. I'm interested your opinions about this amp and line. How does it stack up against the GKs and Wizzys and other (more expensive) models?

Did you search the forum a bit?
I spotted these threads:
How about the SWR Workingman's 12?(longish)
Combo for DB on a budget
There are many others where they are discussed.

Fair enough and thanks. I learned a lot on those threads. It seems like many of us like the SWR combo amps. However, the Working Pro is a newer line than the Working Man. Any thoughts?

I've used the workingpro 10 and 12. In my opinion, they are both great amps for BG but not the best for EUB or UB.

I ran my ns wav 4 without a preamp and they both sounded okay. To me the 10 was a little too trebly and the 12 had a bit too much of a low mid bark. It wasn't the best tone I'd ever heard, but it was certainly usable. I was able to slightly improve the sound with eq but it still wasn't my ideal.

With a BG I loved both combos. They both sounded very articulate and clean and had enough low end for my taste. The 10 was a little wimpy when I tried it with a 5 string, but not too bad. One of my favorite amps that I've tried for BG.

The working pros were a little heavy but not too bad in terms of weight I guess . they're about 10 lbs more than the respective workingman combos.

I like the feature set and like that you can get them relatively cheaply used. Great combos for BG. But not the best for UB IMO.
