technical question

So on a whim I tried one of the speakers from a yamaha stagepas 300 I have with my AI Clarus at a gig the other night and was really pleased with the result. The speaker worked great as it is a 8" and tweeter design in a molded plastic and very compact box. Mostly I was just fooling around but was very pleased with this very compact setup.

My question is this, with the below information what is the ohm rating of one of the speakers? The AI is rated down to 2 ohms so I'm sure it's fine. Also, how much do I have to worry about frying the cab? I mostly would use it for low volume jobs. Just curious.

This looks like the rating off the back of the amp, yes? Seems to indicate 150 watts output on each channel into 6 ohms (with high distortion and incompletely stated frequency response). In any case, given that the amp is spec'd into 6 ohms and it comes as a package with those cabs, it's likely that they're nominally 6 ohms. The greatest danger would be driving the cones right off their frames with the AI because those drivers probably can't handle much power at very low frequencies. You should be fine at very low levels. You'll hear the drivers complain when they get near their limits.
