Ten2/ex Exclusive Room Coupling Control

Has anyone had a chance to try this technology? Does the Ten2 cab do anything to make the bass more audible in bad environments? I'm deciding if I want to try a ten2EX or a pole mounted speak like a GK for those situations. I sure would rather have the prestine AI sound.

I've been using the Ten2X with an AI Focus amp since it first came out--my Ten2Ex is serial number 002. I have had great luck with the room coupling control as a way to tame problems with overly live stages, e.g., thin plywood, in that it re-directs the sound from the down firing speaker to the forward facing speaker. I'd encourage you to give it a try since it has solved a lot of problems for me while still allowing me to produce tons of volume and produce a beautiful sound. Just a few weeks ago, I was playing in a loud 17-piece big band in a large pub in Scotland with no PA support for anyone. When we finished, a local bass player came up and introduced himself, and wanted to know what I had been using--it was the rig as per above--since he had never heard a bass sound better or more clear out in the audience. Needless to say I was pleased to get this feedback since it is always a bit of a mystery what things sound like in the audience vs what you're hearing on stage.
