Tiny Speaker Suggestions

I'm looking for a small light cab that can make just a bit of a thump.
Perhaps 1- 8" speaker.
If anyone knows of a cab or a design I'd appreciate any info.
Thanks in advance.

1x8's are pretty hard to come by

To my knowledge EA and LDS are the only companys to actually build 1X8 cabinets. Don Oatman will build you one if you're set on a 1X8. EA discontinued the VL 108 quite some time ago. You can ocassionally find one used. I don't know how much bigger the various 110's are but the EA Wizzy and Epifani 110 are pretty small. Either of them would sound good.

I believe Genz Benz is about to start selling a 1x8" cabinet and also a combo using this cabinet.

Here is a link:

There's nothing much smaller or lighter than the Euphonic Audio Wizzy 10 or the GK 112MBX, both of which can provide some reasonably good thump and weigh under 20 lbs. Of the two, I'd recommend the Wizzy 10.

Made me think of this thread.

I wanted to see how heavy the Minimark was when I saw one at a GC. I picked it up and went "What?" Very lightweight. Well, 21 lbs. according to their web site.

I'm really curious to see how the Genz Benz Shuttle series 1x10 neo cab is with DB. About 16 pounds, similar to the Wizzy. 8 ohms impedance, as opposed to 4, which will be a nice option, depending on the amp.

With the weight now of some of the 10s like the Wizzy 10, cabs with 8" drivers are not as attractive as they used to be. If you don't care about looks, you might want to consider this (ask Chris Fitzgerald about them):
