That's an awful lot of speaker surface, so you are going to have to be careful not to put yourself directly in front of that rig or you will feedback, even with a piezo. What kind of Ampeg head are you using.
You need to check what the input impedance is on that amp, if it's lower than 1 Meg Ohm it's not going to sound great unless you put some kind of buffer pre amp in between the pickup and the amp. The HPF pre amp built by FDeck is really affordable and works great. You can probably use the Ampeg EQ to smooth out the signal from pick up if you can't afford one.
