If it's the old DeArmond chrome pickup, then no you can't put it on the bridge. It was designed to be placed against the top. I haven't seen one of these pickups in a long time. They came along right after the Ampeg pickup. Much better choices, check the Talkbass classifieds. Vintage instruments are one thing, vintage pickups are best left in museums IMHO.
