Volume Pedal

Hey, I'm having problems between differences in the levels for pizz and arco playing and I've been looking to get a volume pedal to sort out the difference in gain. I was wondering what do you guys use/recommend?

Oh yea, and has anyone tried the Planet Waves cable with the circuit breaker or something like that? How are those?

Hi.
For switching levels on acoustic bass, i prefer an instrumentswitcher or preamp of som sort, since a volumepedal eats some of the signal.
I use a Boss Bass-Eq pedal which has a volume too. And with that you can even shape the sound a bit if required.

The PW cables with the muteswitch works fine for me - i use it with an old tube amp with no mute or standby switch.
Compared to my other PW-cables, i really cant hear any difference soundwise.

Over time I've used a Morley volume pedal, a Boss clone stompbox with a volume level and graphic EQ to apply different characteristics, and a Radial Tonebone Bassbone, which offers a similar service but has other bells and whistles.

IMHO volume pedals can be kind of a pain if you're trying to zero in on a precise level, unless the environment otherwise calls for differing volume levels overall. The preset methods seem to work best for me, especially since you can apply different equalization; I like the Bassbone.
